We had the privilege to shoot the wedding of Chris and Sarah at the beautiful St James Church in the idyllic Gloucestershire village of Staunton on 26 Aug 2017. The bride and groom had requested a traditional style shoot concentrating solely on the Church gathering.

The shoot was a little tricky with frequent ambient light changes as the sun popped in and out of cloud for the whole afternoon.

Chris and Sarah selected around 80 images for their album which was sourced from one of Chesmu's preferred suppliers, Saal Digital.

Car Restoration https://chesmu.zenfolio.com/blog/2017/6/car-restoration Thoroughly enjoyed a quick outing to Robinswood Hill Country Park in this marvellous 1936 Austin Ten Litchfield. Lovingly restored to its original state, this has beed the project of friend and neighbour Tom Kelsey for the last 18 months. I took my trusty Lumix GX80 to capture some shots.

This wonderful vehicle featured at the recent Gloucester Motor Show and will be on show at other events throughout the summer.

Tootling-around at a modest pace, this car attracted the attention of many admirers.

Please don't ask if there are any more images https://chesmu.zenfolio.com/blog/2017/5/please-dont-ask-if-there-are-any-more-images

If you google "10 ways to respect a photographer" you will find a number of tongue-in-cheek statements describing some of the things that professional photographers find irritating. This one in the image above is my personal favourite. The point is this - it is entirely normal to take multiple photographs at a wedding or studio session to compensate for those captures that go wrong. These errors will include mistakes by the photographer, poor subject position/expression, abnormal/unplanned movement, an unplanned change in lighting conditions, or many other miscellaneous reasons. If the photographer says he has a certain number of usable images, this is because he isn't prepared to release sub-standard work to you. Simple!

Tom & Bianca's Wedding https://chesmu.zenfolio.com/blog/2017/3/tom-biancas-wedding On 11 Mar 17, photographers Steve and Diana had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Tom and Bianca. With the ceremony at St Nicholas Church and the reception at Elmore Court in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. The weather wasn't kind with light drizzle and murky skies to start with, but thankfully the day brightened and remained dry. Inside the church, Steve and Diana were afforded great positions by the Vicar, with the rare privilege of being allowed stand in a small alcove to the side of the alter. This offered a great viewpoint and permitted some great shots of the couple as they were saying their vows and exchanging rings.

The reception was a classy affair in the sumptious surroundings of a 750-year-old Grade II* listed country house and the wonderfully appointed Gilly Flower function room. There were some wonderful backdrops and stylish rooms which allowed for some classic captures. The staff at Elmore Court were extremely helpful and understood fully the challenges that photographers face.

Thank you Tom and Bianca for allowing us to photograph your special day.

Chesmu was delighted to welcome Kate back to the studio on 4 Nov 16. Kate was one of the first models we photographed back in 2015 when we first launched the business and she has been back 6 times - I guess we must be doing something right!. Versatile, imaginative and always great fun.
